Newburgh, New York - Lightning illuminates the sky above the Hudson River in a view looking south from Bay View Terrace on July 4, 2012. Fireworks in the distance are visible in two of the photographs. The final photograph of West Ponit was taken from the Route 9W overlook. By that time the storm had moved on and the moon was came out from behind the clouds.
